NDSU Celebrates Ten Years in the Megaconference!

The tenth annual Megaconference is scheduled for November 6 and NDSU is one of several institutions that will be honored for it's participation and support of this annual global mulitpoint videoconference event.

NDSU's involvement in the Megaconference X event will be two-fold:

A presentation by the USDA Electron Microscopy lab on the recently acquired Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) is also scheduled for 1:15 p.m CT. The SEM provides students and researchers with remote access to the microscope. Using its web-based capability over a standard Internet connection, researchers and students have the opportunity to view and/or operate the electron microscope at their own location. Lab staff Jayma Moore and Scott Payne are available to take requests from teachers and students who want access to certain specimens but who are unable to visit the lab in person because of geographical distance.

This year NDSU will be one of the institutions recognized for their full ten years of participation and support of the Megaconference. Several current and former NDSU staff are among those who have participated in most if not all of the ten years of activities. NDSU's "Then & Now" segment is scheduled to begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. CT.
