Students in high schools across North Dakota recently engaged in discussion with a surgical team at a hospital in Ohio during a live total knee replacement surgery. A program provided by the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, OH is available through H.323 videoconferencing.
Participating schools in North Dakota included Belcourt, Divide County Crosby, Drake, Fessenden, Jamestown, Killdeer, Ray, Richardton, Richland, Rogers, Strasburg, Steele-Dawson, Tioga and Velva and Washburn.
Conference technical services and facilitation of the live
total knee
surgery in North Dakota was provided through the collaborative
efforts of
the Information Technology Department (ITD) and
