To ensure that all NDSU e-mail users have adequate storage space to support the academic, research, and outreach missions of the university, ITS has established a uniform allocation of resources and recommends a storage limit of 250 Mb for all faculty and staff and 150 Mb for students. This storage limit ensures a consistent level of service and protects the e-mail storage capabilities for all e-mail users.
Cleaning out inboxes by eliminating sent items, old drafts, messages with large attachments, and old meeting dates and calendar entries (GroupWise) helps conserve e-mail storage space. Helpful hints for managing your mailbox are available in the FAQs and Help Docs section of this Web site.
