This document describes how to request a change in your
Electronic ID. Your Electronic ID is the portion of your e-mail
address to the left of @ndsu.edu in your Mail@NDSU address. The
Electronic ID uses a firstname.lastname format.
Things to remember when choosing a new Electronic I
- Your new Electronic ID must use the period and have at least
one character to the left of the period. For example, if your
Electronic ID is Chris.Doe, you could request C.Doe but not cdoe
or doe.
- Use caution when changing your e-mail address. You may not
receive important e-mail if you change your Electronic ID
often.
- Your last name must match your last name in the
administrative system.
To change your e-mail address:
- Go to enroll.nodak.edu
Complete the information requested on the Web form.
Take the Acceptable Use quiz, if you haven't already taken
it.
On the page that lists your current services, click
Change Electronic ID.
- Enter a new Electronic ID.
Click the Request that your Electronic ID be
changed button.
- Your ID will be checked to ensure that no one else in the
university system is using that ID.
Once you have a unique Electronic ID, your request will be
sent to a system administrator for processing.
Your new ID should be ready within one business day.
- Use your new Electronic ID to log in to your e-mail account
and as the first part of your Mail@YourCampus e-mail
address.
