This document tells you how to configure GroupWise to use LDAP
lookup
1. In GroupWise, open your Address Book and select
the Novell LDAP Address Book on the left-hand
column. In the right side of the window, click on the "Directories"
button. If you do not have the Novell LDAP Address book, continue
with step 2. If you do have this Novell LDAP Address book,
continue with step 5.
2. In the FILE menu, select Services.
3. In the window that opens, click Add.
4. In the new window, select LDAP and click
OK.
5. In the Directory window that opens, click on
the Add button.
6. The Internet Directory Account Wizard will begin. In the
Account name field, enter the Directory
Name and click Next.
7. On the next screen, enter the Server address as:
"ldap.ndsu.nodak.edu" and leave the other settings as the default.
Click Finish.
8. In the Internet Directory Accounts window, you
will now see the NDSU LDAP entry. Select it and click on the
Properties button.
9. In the NDSU LDAP Properties window, choose the
Searching tab. The Search base should be entered
exactly as:
dc=ndsu, dc=nodak, dc=edu
10. Click OK.
If you skipped to step 5, you can now enter a name or part of a name and click Retrieve to search the NDSU LDAP database for e-mail addresses or phone numbers. If steps 2-4 were required, you will need to reboot your computer before the search feature will function.
