Smart phones, PDAs, PPCs and other mobile devices can vary greatly between manufactures and service providers(AT&T, Sprint, Verizon etc.) even though their operating systems may be the same. Compatibility with NDSU IT services can not be guaranteed and is not supported.

E-mail Configuration

For specific device setup instructions refer to your mobile device owners manual or check with your service provider.

General configuration settings:

• Account type: IMAP
• Incoming mail server: imap.ndsu.nodak.edu
• Incoming mail server encryption: SSL on port 993
• Outgoing mail server: smtp.ndsu.nodak.edu
• Outgoing mail server encryption: TLS on port 587
• Username: Your NDSU Electronic ID
• Password: Your NDSU Password

Note: The ability to check your e-mail through your devices built in mail client may be dependent on using your service providers data connection. Local campus(NDSU and NDSU Secure) wireless access is not supported for mobile devices.

Oracle Calendar Configuration

Important Note: Syncing of mobile devices with NDSU's Oracle Calendar service is not supported.

Important note: Additional software is needed to sync your Oracle Calendar account with your mobile device. Check with your service provider or phone manufacture before purchasing any software or for additional support.

General coniguration settings:

• Server address: https://calendar.ndsu.nodak.edu/ocst-bin/ocas.fcgi
• Database paths (case sensitive):
  • Contacts: ./Contacts
  • Events: ./Calendar/Events
  • Tasks: ./Calendar/Tasks
• Username: Your NDSU Electronic ID
• Password: Your NDSU Oracle Calendar account password
