Don't watch your course go down the river -- let technology be your levee!

It's not too late to take advantage of these events even though the live events are over!

Provost Craig Schnell is encouraging faculty to be creative in dealing with the loss of two weeks of class time due to the flood, and the ITS Instructional Services team wants to help you do that!

Here are a few offerings on using technology to leverage the class time you have available:

1. FloodBytes

  • What: Learn four easy, effective ways to extend class time through technology
  • How: Watch a streamed recording of the live event and/or enroll in the FloodBytes course on Blackboard to experience the content presented during FloodBytes as a student sees it! Click the FloodBytes link for more information.

2. "Top 10 Technologies for Flood Victims" - more ideas on extending your class time

3. "An Introduction to Wimba Classroom" hands-on training - Hold class virtually or record a class!

  • Check the current class schedule and/or Register at www.ndsu.edu/its/training_resources (click on Faculty/Staff Training/Register for Classes)
  • Contact Tammy Cummings (1-1090) or Lorna Olsen (1-6328) to schedule Wimba training outside of the regular schedule

Please don't hesitate to contact us for assistance! Departmental training available.
