
Internet2 is an international organization & high performance network, led by the higher education research community. It is designed to support:
Faculty, staff, and students in the North Dakota University System, as well as K-12 schools, have participated in projects facilitated by Internet2. In fact, successful grant applications are increased by Internet2 capability, and faculty and researchers are increasingly identifying Internet2 as a needed resource in their grants.
I2 Members: (Currently membership in Internet2 is only available to institutions of higher education located in the United States.)
Since 1996, North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota have been Internet2 members.
SEGP: (The Sponsored Education Group Participants are state-wide K-12 networks, community college networks, and similar collectives of educational organizations. These networks are engaged in applications development and other projects designed to enhance their use of advanced networking infrastructure and services.)
The North Dakota University System (Bismarck State College, Dickinson
State University, Lake Region State College, Mayville State University, Minot State University, Minot State
University - Bottineau Campus, North Dakota State College of Science, Valley City State University,
Williston State College) have been a SEGP since 2001.
175 North Dakota K-12 Schools have been a SEGP since 2005.
The North Dakota Center for Persons with
Disabilities Flatlands Disability Network have been a SEGP since 2005.

EduTech is a Sponsored Participant.
State Network: STAGEnet provides broadband connectivity, Internet access, video conferencing and other networking services to all state agencies, colleges and universities, local government, and K-12. It provides the connection to Internet2 for North Dakota.
