Messages cannot be forwarded to Hotmail, MSN, Live.com
[E-mail users who need to be notified of the information below currently cannot receive @ndsu.edu e-mail. Please share this notice with other students, faculty and staff.]
NDSU e-mail accounts that are set up to automatically forward messages to Hotmail.com, MSN.com or Live.com are no longer functioning.
This problem is occurring because Microsoft has listed NDSU e-mail servers as a spam source and is blocking forwarded messages.
Individuals who currently have their NDSU e-mail forwarded to one of the Microsoft e-mail services listed above should immediately log in at enroll.nodak.edu and deactivate the forwarding option. After doing this, users will need to check e-mail from the NDSU server via Webmail or an e-mail program.
NDSU e-mail accounts are an official communication channel for students. ITS strongly discourages individuals from forwarding their @ndsu.edu e-mail to an outside system. Students who choose to have their e-mail forwarded to an outside server do so at their own risk, and are still responsible for messages that are not received.
See www.ndsu.edu/policy/609.htm for e-mail policy information.
Please e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu or call 231-8685 with questions or problems.
