Request to participate in the ITS Computer Cascade Program

To request a used ITS computer:

Step 1: Determine which computer will be traded in to ITS.

For a computer to be eligible to use as a trade-in:

  • It must be in use by an employee in the department
  • It must be connected to the NDSU network.
  • Preference will be given to older trade-in computers (5 years or older)

Note: Preference will be given to requests that have a departmental computer to trade in, however if the department has no system to trade in, there still may be systems available.

Step 2: Complete the request form by the close of the business day on May 16th, 2008.

You will need to:

  • Include information about the trade-in computer:
inventory number, model, operating system and location.

Notes:

  • The computers are no longer under manufacturer's warranty, unless otherwise noted.
  • ITS will test the computers to determine that they are in good working condition, but no warranty is given or implied, unless otherwise noted..
  • Some computers may not be available until the end of July.
  • The computers cannot be purchased by individuals. They must remain part of NDSU's inventory.
  • Billing will not be initiated until after July 1, 2008.
