Before the setup:
You will need to know the Model Number, IP Address and your 5 digit code for the MFP (Multi-Functional Printer)
The model number is located on the MFP, the IP address and code are obtainable by either contacting your departments Administrative Assistant or by calling Document Publishing at 231-7141
How to setup a Lanier B&W or Color MFP (Windows XP)
1. Download and unzip the required driver (common drivers are available via the software download page)
2. START - Printers and Faxes - Add Printer - Next
3. Select - Local Printer attached to this computer
4. Unselect - Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer
5. Next
6. Select - Create a new port:
7. From the drop down select - Standard TCP/IP Port
8. Next - Next
9. Type the IP Address for the printer in the first box labeled - Printer Name or IP Address:
10. Next - Next - Finish
11. Within the Install Printer Software windows select Have Disk
12. Browse to the location you unzipped the files to in step one
13. Select the INF file in this location and select Open and then OK
14. Select the model number of your MFP from the list and select Next
15. Change printer name and set as default if desired
16. Select NO to print a test page and select Next - Finish
17. With the Printers and Faxes, find the new printer
18. Right click and select Properties
19. Select the Accessories tab, select and additional trays that your MFP has
20. Apply
If you are the only user of the computer and want to input your access code, do the following
21. Select the Advanced tab, select Printing Defaults
22. Select the Statistics tab
23. Input your 5 digit code that you use for the MFP - Apply - OK
24. Test the printer by printing
