NDSU

Beginning May 15, 2008, NDSU e-mail addresses ending in @ndsu.nodak.edu will no longer be valid. (E-mail addresses created before 2005 used this format.) Anyone still using addresses in this form should switch to @ndsu.edu as soon as possible.

ITS suggests that e-mail users take the following steps :

  1. Users of Outlook, Thunderbird, Macintosh Mail, Eudora or other e-mail programs (except GroupWise and Webmail) should check their preferences/settings to ensure that they are using the @ndsu.edu as their "from" and "reply-to" addresses.
Instructions for this are provided on the Right Answers home page at http://ra.nodak.edu:4080/ss_ndus (If you are off-campus, use http://raoc.nodak.edu )
  2. Review incoming e-mails and provide the updated address to individuals and e-mail lists that are still using the old format.
  3. Update addresses in personal address books.
  4. Departments and individuals should make sure all e-mail addresses listed on Web pages and stationery use the new format.

Additional Information:

  • What if I need to keep my ndsu.nodak.edu address for some reason?
Users who need to keep the old address active should visit http://enroll.nodak.edu, log in and choose the "ndsu.edu Address" link.

  • Which addresses does this affect?
This change only affects individuals' e-mail addresses. It does not impact Web site addresses, the addresses used for Listserv groups or North Dakota University System services such as enroll.nodak.edu.

If you have any questions or problems, please e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu or call 231-8685.
