This session gives you an overview of Blackboard 8.0 from the student's perspective, shows you the tools and features that are available, and shows you how to get started using Blackboard in your courses.

We'll also look at the course settings you can use to make a course 'your own'. By adjusting these settings you can truly make your course a unique and productive experience for your students.

Here's what we'll cover:

• Blackboard as your students see it
• Activating your Blackboard account
• Logging in to Blackboard
• Creating and/or requesting your course(s) each semester using the Course Creator utility
• How to enable and disable selected areas used in your course
• Customizing the names of your course areas and the menu display
• Updating course availability
• Changing settings controlling access to a course
• Setting the course duration
• Setting student enrollment options

This is a good course for those who have never used Blackboard or those who have just started using Blackboard.

Experienced Blackboard users are also welcome to attend.
