This workshop is intended for those who have already completed the longer CMS (TYPO3) Training sessions offered by ITS, or those who have started working with the CMS system but would like a brief "refresher" course!
TYPO3 is a Content Management System (CMS) for authoring and maintaining content on Web pages residing within the www.ndsu.edu domain. This system allows users to focus on the content of their pages on the Web without worrying about page construction and design, and without learning how to produce complex HTML or other more complicated programming code. The CMS template creates the page design and the content automatically complies with current accessibility and usability standards.
The first part of each of the scheduled CMS (TYPO3) Refresher Workshops will focus briefly on one specific topic you need to use TYPO3 to maintain your site, then we'll allow time during the second part for you to work on your own site content and ask questions as you work.
Prerequisites: We strongly recommend that you have already started using the CMS system prior to attending this workshop or that you've already attended the full CMS (TYPO3) Training at ITS and have requested a site and are ready to begin creating/transferring your content to the site.
