Access 2007 for Windows - Part One

This six hour (two-day) session is designed for those people new to using Access who have completed the Access 2007 Database Basics class, or anyone who has previously used an Access database someone else created, but needs to know more!

Once you've learned the basics of using Access to store and manipulate large amounts of data it's time to learn how to design your databases and create and use the objects that make up an Access database effectively!

At the end of this two-day session you'll be able to:

  • Design a simple database and understand and create the necessary relationships between your tables to take advantage of the full power of a relational database system
  • Build the new database you designed by creating the tables you need
  • Manage the data in your tables
  • Create queries to extract the exact information you want using different methods
  • Design useable forms for data entry and/or inquiry
  • Generate reports for printing or on-screen display

Prerequisites: Completion of "Access 2007 Database Basics" or the ability to open an Access database and navigate and/or enter data in a table.
