Multimedia Services

Customers should bring their own media, i.e., DVDs (DVD-R preferred), CDs, VHS, etc. Media can be purchased:

  • at the NDSU Bookstore.
  • at the ACM office, located at IACC 162.
  • from a vending machine, located at IACC 158 (the pop room).

As a result of liability issues, TLC staff are not allowed to touch, handle, or work on equipment that belongs to the customer.

The TLC does not offer drop-off services; the TLC learning assistants can provide assistance and support.

Files should be saved to the data drive inside a folder named for the owner.

Customers should be sure to back up files on personal media. The TLC is not responsible for files stored on the TLC computers.

Storage space is limited; customers are asked to complete projects on a timely basis.

Files that have not been modified for 30 days will be deleted.

Customers working on video projects are asked to sign a form to help TLC staff monitor the use of the multimedia computers.

TLC Copyright Statement:

TLC equipment may not be used to burn copies of CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, etc. unless the customer can provide evidence that permission has been granted or that the material may be freely copied.
