Create a Slide Show or Music Video in PowerPoint

Use this short tutorial (PDF) to make your slide show advance automatically. This is used for creating music videos or other slide shows that run unattended.

When you are finished creating your slide show and ready to turn it in to your instructor, you may want to save the file as a PowerPoint Show (.pps extension). Then, when your instructor opens the file, it will open directly to slide show view.

With your finished presentation open, go to File > Save As.

1. At the bottom of the Save As dialogue box, you will see a Save as type: box. Click on the drop down arrow and scroll down until you see PowerPoint Show (*.pps). Select that option.
2. Click the Save button.
