Scheduling a Course or Event at NDSU

ND IVN discusses videoconference scheduling, including a list of the video consortia in North Dakota.

To schedule a credit class contact the NDSU IVN Site Coordinator Tammy Cummings. (Note: remember if changing a class, inform the Registrar's Office and any students impacted by the change.) Provide the following information:

  1. The name/title of the class/event.
  2. Class/event dates and times. Have alternative dates and times available. Know what dates the class will not be held (e.g. Thanksgiving, Spring Break)
  3. The location(s) of the class/event. A list of sites is located under the " DIRECTORY OF SITES ."
  4. The host site for the class/event. Typically the host site facilitates the videoconference and hosts the instructor or event requester. It also serves as a point of contact with IVN if a connectivity problem occurs.
  5. Name of person submitting request (requester).
  6. E-mail, phone, fax number of requester.
  7. Name of school or organization submitting request (NDSU).
  8. Type of event - is this a program course, cross-listed course, non-credit class, or a continuing education course.
  9. Instructor/event requester name, e-mail, phone, fax, school.
  10. Resources in the classroom that will be needed such as videotape, laptop computer, visual presenter (an overhead projector type equipment specifically for use with videoconferencing), etc.

Submit the request to Tammy Cummings, tammy.cummings@ndsu.edu , 231-1090, IACC 206.

Please note that each event becomes officially confirmed when network resources for the event are validated by the IVN scheduler.
